Jakarta City Council Commission D Legislator, Ali Lubis, supports the Siap Jaga Jakarta program, which is implemented through the dredging of rivers and reservoirs to overcome flooding issues.

"Intensive socialization and education are necessary for residents to understand the government's efforts in overcoming flood issues and improving their welfare," he explained.
He requested that the Jakarta Government ensure the availability of sufficient and suitable apartments, as well as provide training to the relocated residents.
"This aims to improve their welfare in economic terms," he explained.
According to him, regulations about spatial planning and buildings along riverbanks must be enforced to prevent illegal occupation as it is not following its intended use.
"This must be watched out for to anticipate illegal buildings along the riverbanks," he asserted.
As information, Sunday (2/23), Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, directly led the Jakarta Alert Call at Pluit Reservoir, North Jakarta.
This call marked the beginning of the simultaneous dredging of macro and micro channels up to the reservoir in Jakarta, which is targeted to be completed by August.
